Bricks in urban planning
Bricks are used by urban planners to create, define and even to regularize spaces. For instances, when they want to design a public space with different uses or divisions, they usually choose bricks with all kinds of sizes, colors and shapes. This gives spaces identification and a purpose in the city that can be easily recognized.
Some times, urban planners want to regularize the spaces that they’re designing, so they decide to use a material that is easy too find and looks really nice, so they go for bricks. This material is also used in walking places as a substitute of pavement or cement. In some cities, bricks are also used for decoration, and we can find mosaics and murals made with pieces of it.
